Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how Memset works, how spaced repetition is scheduled, and how the free vs unlimited plans compare.

Is Memset a flashcard app?
No. Memset is a spaced repetition planner. You keep learning from your notebooks, books, decks or courses — Memset only tracks what to revisit and when.
What kinds of materials work with Memset?
Anything you study from — textbooks, lecture notes, video courses, flashcard decks, a single page from a notebook. A Memset is a lightweight pointer; you don't need to re-type or rebuild your content inside the app.
What happens if I miss a day?
Items go overdue, your streak may interrupt, and you can recover without the whole schedule collapsing. One bad day shouldn't mean a week of backlog.
How are repetitions scheduled?
Each Memset has a Strategy — Standard, Fibonacci, Weekly, Triplet, or a custom rhythm you define — that drives the interval pattern. Categories then cap how many items of one kind can land on the same day, so daily load stays realistic.
Is this useful for exam prep?
Yes. Memset is built for long-term retention, so it suits MCAT, LSAT, USMLE, GRE, IELTS, A-levels, university coursework and similar high-volume exams where you need material to stick for months, not days.
How is this different from Anki or Quizlet?
Anki and Quizlet are flashcard tools — you type cards into them and they own your content. Memset is a planner that sits on top of whatever you already use. Keep your existing books, decks and notes; let Memset schedule when you revisit them.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — up to 3 Memsets, 3 Categories and 1 custom Strategy. The Unlimited plan removes those caps with monthly and annual options (the annual plan includes a free trial).
Which languages are supported?
The app and this website ship in English, Spanish, Ukrainian, Japanese, and several European locales — with more rolling out. The list of localised store regions is the same as the App Store listing.
