Memset Terms of Service
Effective date: May 13, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Memset (the "App"), provided by Oleksandr Klymenko ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Memset Is
Memset is a review-planning app that helps you schedule when to revisit learning materials you already use elsewhere. Memset is not a publisher, course provider, cloud notebook, or flashcard marketplace, and it does not replace the original materials you choose to study.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You are responsible for using the App lawfully and for keeping your device and account access secure.
Memset may allow access through anonymous sign-in, email/password sign-in, Google sign-in, or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account or device to the extent permitted by law.
3. Your Content and Study References
You may create Memsets, Categories, Strategies, titles, summaries, and other planning data in the App.
You remain responsible for:
- the learning materials you reference through the App,
- making sure you have the right to use, store, or describe those materials,
- complying with the terms of any third-party books, platforms, courses, videos, or services you use alongside Memset.
Memset does not claim ownership of your underlying learning materials. However, you grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, sync, and display the planning data you create in order to operate the App.
4. Subscriptions, One-Time Purchases, Trials, and Promo Codes
Some App features may require a paid plan. Memset offers both recurring subscriptions (monthly and annual, with optional introductory free trial) and a one-time lifetime purchase that grants unlimited access without renewal. Prices, free trials, billing periods, and renewal behavior may vary by platform and offer.
If you purchase a subscription through Apple or Google:
- billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment handling are governed by the relevant app store's rules and your agreement with that store,
- auto-renewing subscriptions must usually be managed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account,
- trial and renewal disclosures shown in the App are informational and do not replace the billing-store terms that apply to your purchase.
If you make a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple or Google:
- the purchase is a single, non-recurring charge that grants access to the unlimited tier and does not auto-renew,
- billing, refunds, and dispute handling are governed by the relevant app store's rules and your agreement with that store,
- the purchase is tied to your app store account; restoring it on a new device requires signing in to the same Apple ID or Google account and using the in-App "Restore Purchases" flow,
- because there is no recurring subscription to manage, the App does not surface a "Manage Subscription" link for lifetime purchases.
Promo codes, discounts, and similar offers:
- may have eligibility limits, expiration dates, or usage restrictions,
- may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time,
- may be unavailable in some regions, accounts, or app versions,
- have no cash value unless required by law.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- copy, reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative versions of the App except where applicable law permits it,
- use the App in a way that interferes with its operation or other users,
- attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data,
- use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing activity.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms are violated, if required by law, or if continued access creates risk for the App or others.
6. Availability and Changes
We work to keep the App available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device, platform, or OS version.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App at any time.
7. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services such as Firebase, Apple services, Google services, and app-store billing infrastructure. Your use of those services may also be governed by their separate terms and policies.
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by the Memset Privacy Policy:
9. Disclaimer
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, secure, or free from defects.
Memset is intended as a planning aid. We do not guarantee specific learning, retention, academic, or performance outcomes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the App.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. You may also delete your account from within the App.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if necessary to protect the App, comply with legal obligations, address misuse, or discontinue the service.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will publish the updated version and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
